Texans are understandably apprehensive about arctic blasts after the storm in February 2021. Still, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas is monitoring weather conditions and is expecting to meet the predicted demand.

If your area does lose power, you can report the outage through Oncor’s website or by calling (888) 313-4747 and tracking current power outages. Check the NWS’s tips for staying safe.

For those traveling through DFW Airport, expect flight delays and cancellations, particularly for inbound flights. Keep an eye on your flight status. If traveling by car, TxDOT has salted thousands of road miles including bridges, hospitals + areas surrounding emergency shelters to prevent ice from forming.

Tarrant County school districts will make individual announcements for closings and delays. Refer to the full list for each district.
