New City Hall gets a lighting upgrade

New lighting

Through the end of December, New City Hall’s lighting system will be undergoing upgrades. What does this mean? You may not see City Hall’s rooftop lit up for certain events like normal, as the lights will remain off or in testing phases.

The installation is expected to be completed by Christmas.

Several departments and programs have already made the move to New City Hall. Here’s what’s already cooking at the new location:

  • Customer service hub | Development services, water bill pay, water applications, and central cashier for residents
  • Mayor + Council | Mayor Mattie Parker and city council began working in the new space in January; City Council meetings are still taking place on Texas Street while the chamber is under construction
  • Parking | Free parking is open and available now, with vertical garage expansions set to begin early 2024
