Boston-based The Scoop and Scootery is opening its first Texas location in Fort Worth at 3529 Heritage Trace Pkwy., across from H-E-B. Known for sundaes with sauce “tunnels” and creative toppings, the shop will open late January. They’ll offer dine-in, patio seating, and delivery up to 20 miles. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

Fort Worth is launching a new path to affordable homeownership. The Fort Worth Community Land Trust previewed its Carroll Park project on Sept. 23, with the next open house tomorrow, Sept. 27 from 2 to 5 p.m. Renovated and new homes will be priced for modest incomes. Sales start later this year, with completion by 2029. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)
