Funkytown is ready to give the Live Music Capital of the World a run for its money. Artists from across the Lone Star State are coming to the Stockyards to showcase their talents at the Fort Worth Music Festival & Conference.

The event — produced by Live Nation, in partnership with chef Tim Love and Larry Joe Taylor — will run today through Sunday, March 2.

Artists meeting other artists 🎶

The conference will serve as a showcase for up-and-coming Texas artists and an opportunity for aspiring agents, managers, and promoters to network. It sounds very similar to SXSW — in fact, the Stockyards festival will be somewhat of a prelude to the Austin event, which begins just a week later.

The third annual FWMF event will take place across four Stockyards venues — Tannahill’s Music Hall, Tannahill’s Lounge, Love Shack, and the White Elephant Saloon — and will include three days of panels, workshops, and performances from over 30 artists.
