The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, Feb. 9 in New Orleans. Just because a Texas team won’t be in the Superdome, doesn’t mean we’re missing out on Lone Star State representation — looking at you Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts.

Tune in at 5:30 p.m. to cheer on these 14 Texans taking to the gridiron. Plus, don’t miss the halftime show by SZA and Kendrick Lamar — who may not be a local, but did film a music video in Cowtown.

    “Puppy Bowl XXI” airs before the Super Bowl this Sunday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. on Animal Planet and will be streaming on Max. Representatives from 40 states will compete for the Lombarky trophy at this grr-diron game, including pug mix Mr. Pickles from Dallas playing for Team Ruff.

    From 1960 to 1962, the American Football League included a team called the Dallas Texans. In 1963, owner Lamar Hunt moved the team to Kansas City, Missouri and renamed it the Chiefs.
