Wilks Development has acquired One Ridgemar Center and plans to spend $9 million on improvements. The 38-year-old, 10-story building is currently at 68% occupancy, which is low for the city average. Sound familiar? Wilks is also revitalizing the historic Fort Worth Public Market located on Henderson Street. (Fort Worth Report)
Plan Ahead
The 78th annual community Christmas tree arrived downtown earlier this week and stands at a whopping 82 ft tall. The tree traveled all the way from Michigan. Visit Sundance Square at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3 to witness the free tree lighting ceremony. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

After five years, Hot Box Biscuit Club on South Main Street has permanently closed. There may be future pop-up events on the horizon, as Hot Box’s website prompts visitors to be on the lookout for December events. (CultureMap Fort Worth)

Fort Worth ISD is one of six Tarrant County school districts facing potential state state budget cuts in 2026, due to declining market value. The district’s trustees approved $14 million in spending this month, which included financial advising, school resource offers, and AV classroom equipment. (Fort Worth Report)
