Every fall, we take a few minutes to cherish the things that make life worthwhile — family, friends, and really good food — but here at FTWtoday, there’s nothing we’re more thankful for than Fort Worth.

From the small town feeling to the big city perks, there are an endless number of things to love; here’s what some of you said you’re most thankful for in Cowtown (plus, what we’re giving thanks for).

“The major museums in town open their doors to the public to hear music, make crafts, and eat great food. My friends and I have taken advantage of that gift to [encourage activities in our] retirement. Great art, great music, great company for us old folks!” — Cynthia M.

“The serenity of the beautiful Japanese Garden.” — Sue H.

“Sunny, peaceful (usually), gourmet BBQ options, friendly ducks at the Duck Pond, more quality coffee shops than we probably deserve. In general, strangers seem to want the best for each other. The TRE runs early. Abundant growth, opportunity, and diversity (the spice of life). Free pecans in fall.” — David R.

“Small town feel with amenities...” — Liz S.

“I love everything Fort Worth. Good people and good food.” — Judy T.

City Editor Kate, here. I could come up with a million things about Cowtown that I am grateful for, but these make me smile every time:
