U-Haul has released its 2024 mid-year report on migration trends, tracking the origins of U-Haul trucks arriving in the 25 most populated cities in the US, including Fort Worth. Let’s take a look at who’s moved into our city from where — and if you’re new around here, we’ve got even more to share.
So, where are folks coming from? According to U-Haul, here are the top three metropolitan areas outside our state that people are moving to Cowtown from:
  • Oklahoma City, OK
  • Denver, CO
  • Phoenix, AZ

  • Southlake 21-year-old sprinter Korban Best is taking home silver in the T47 100 meter dash at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games. Best will go on to compete in the 4x100 relay this Friday, Sept. 6.

  • Construction recently began on DFW Airport’s $3 billion Terminal C renovation. The renovations include opening up the concourse to add more light and space for travelers, with plans to complete construction by the end of 2029. (WFAA)

  • It’s Mansion Monday — today we’re exploring Yolanda Hadid’s horseshoe-shaped Fort Worth dwelling. The single-story home was designed by Hadid with the help of Texas-based contractor S&B Construction + features river views, a secondary closet for a vintage cowboy hat collection, and plenty of Western touches.   • Circle Theatre will announce its 44th season — its “largest season ever” — at the upcoming “IGNITE: A Night of Revelry” annual fundraiser. Tickets for the Thursday, Nov. 12 fundraiser are on sale now.
