It’s going be a good ol’ fashioned Texas showdown as the Rangers take on the Houston Astros in the MLB American League Championship Series starting on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 7:15 p.m. in Houston.
For the first time ever, the Texas Rangers will face their Lone Star State rivals in the post-season. Watch the game on FOX or head to the Arlington Entertainment District to channel that home-field advantage.
The Rangers return to Globe Life Field for Game 3 on Wednesday, Oct. 18, Game 4 on Thursday, Oct. 19, and Game 5 (if necessary) on Friday, Oct. 20. If tickets are sold out — or out-of-the-park expensive — bookmark this guide to get in on the action without going to the game.
The Arlington Entertainment District is a great place to watch the game whether the Rangers are in town or not.
Head to Texas Live! to watch every play on a 100-ft HD screen while you snack and sip at eight restaurants and four bars. Don’t want to fight the crowds? Grab a table at The Social House and chow down on specials. Plus, catch the restaurant’s shuttle to the ballpark.
Where to stay
Coming in from out of town? Book a night at Live! by Loews Arlington and enjoy a drink on the private rooftop terrace. Or, grab a room at the Sheraton Arlington Hotel and hop on the complimentary Arlington Trolley to get around.
It’s not only sports — Arlington is also home to beautiful outdoor spaces like Richard Greene Linear Park.
Skip the stress and pay for parking ahead of home games or grab a rideshare to be dropped off near Lot C on Stadium Drive. Note: Rideshare pickups are not allowed on Randoll Mill Road after the games. Parking is free at Texas Live! during away games.
