TCU has officially broken ground on its new medical school. The recently-renamed Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine will rise four stories at 1100 W. Rosedale St. in the Medical District. The 96,000-sqft campus will house 240 medical students.

Estimated at $62 million, the campus was designed through an architectural partnership between Los Angeles-based CO Architects and Dallas-based Hoefer Welker. Houston-based Linbeck Group is overseeing the construction. The renderings reveal a two-story arcade along West Rosedale Street, an all-glazed fourth floor, and TCU’s signature buff brick and red roof.

Students and faculty from TCU’s medical school — which opened in July 2019 and is temporarily housed at the International Plaza in Overton West — will move into the Near Southside campus in the summer of 2024. Watch the virtual groundbreaking ceremony here.
