Fort Worthians on Team USA in the 2026 Winter Olympics

There are four athletes from Texas representing Team USA at the 2026 Winter Olympics, with two from the DFW area.

Time to go for gold. The 2026 Winter Olympics have arrived and will run from Friday, Feb. 6, through Sunday, Feb. 22.

Thousands of athletes from all over the world are headed to Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo to compete in 16 sports (not including para) and 116 medal events. While nearly 2,900 athletes will compete, there are four who have already won us over.

Here are the four athletes from DFW competing in this year’s games + when to watch them.

Hannah Bilka, 24, Coppell

Bilka will represent Team USA as the forward on the women’s ice hockey team. She won the National Championship with the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2024. Tune into the preliminary round on Saturday, Feb. 7. + Monday, Feb. 9-Tuesday, Feb. 10.

Jake Oettinger, 28, Dallas

Originally from Minnesota, Oettinger will represent Team USA (and the Dallas Stars) as goalie on the men’s ice hockey team. Catch the preliminary rounds on Thursday, Feb. 12 + Saturday, Feb. 14-Sunday, Feb. 15.

Emily Chan, 28, Dallas

Chan will represent Team USA in paired figure skating. She finished fifth at the 2023 World Figure Skating Championships. Watch her skate with her partner on Sunday, Feb. 15 + Monday, Feb. 16.

Amber Glenn, 26, Plano

Glenn will also represent Team USA in singles figure skating. Watch her skate the ice beginning Thursday, Feb. 19, during the singles skate medal event. She placed fifth in the World Championship in 2025.

A fifth qualified Texan Olympian is San Antonian Boone Niederhofer (bobsledding). And while Arlington-born Florida Panther Seth Jones was destined to compete in this year’s games, he stepped down due to an injury.
