The Panther City Lacrosse Club is kicking off its 2022-2023 season tonight at Dickies Arena. The Panthers take on the Las Vegas Desert Dogs at 7:30 p.m. in the home opener of their second season.

On the Prowl 🐈‍⬛

Panther City ended the 2021-2022 season with a 7-11 record, finishing just shy of the playoffs in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The team is represented by the intimidating Prowler mascot, but the unofficial mascot is a bit more cuddly than the name might suggest.

Don’t know about you, but we’re in love with Lil’ Prowl.

Nicknamed Lil’ Prowl, the team has embraced a little cartoon panther that was drawn as a spoof on a Carolina Panther’s video last year. Now Lil’ Prowl sneaks up on the team’s social media accounts — and apparently, head coach Tracey “TK” Kelusky’s arm . (We guess it’s warranted if you’re named the NLL Coach of the Year after the team’s inaugural season.)

No lone panthers here 🎟

Get in on the action from Friday, Dec. 9-Friday, April 21 at Dickies Arena. You can download the full schedule and check out the broadcast schedule to catch the away games too.

Sports fans can choose from single-game tickets or a full-season membership . Bonus: Don’t miss out on the special theme nights throughout the season.

Welcome new cubs 🍻

There are a few new faces to the 21-player roster this year. Keep an eye out for Jonathan Donville — a lefty forward, member of the Maryland’s D1 National Champion team, and the first pick of the 2021-2022 NLL Entry Draft.

So we’ll see you tonight, yeah? Your reward for being a true Panther City LAX fan — and for reading to the end of this article — is a free beer. Coach TK is giving away free beverages to the first 500 fans tonight.
