The Texas Outlaws are kicking their way closer to victory. The team will compete in the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) 2024 Ron Newman Cup playoffs.

Didn’t know North Texas had a professional indoor soccer team? The team — aka the Mesquite Outlaws — launched in 2019. Last season was their first time competing in the MASL playoffs, but they were eliminated in the Conference Semifinals.

The championship tournament starts with the Conference Semifinal series. The Outlaws will compete against the San Diego Sockers on their home turf — Mesquite Arena, ~45 miles east of Fort Worth — this Saturday, April 6, 7:05 p.m. Tickets are still available.

The two teams will play a second game on Monday, April 8 at Pechanga Arena in San Diego, the Sockers’ home. If the Outlaws win both matches in this home and home series, they’ll advance to the Conference Finals (the stage before the MASL Championship). If the series results in a tie, the winner will be determined in a Knockout Match.
