Since its conception, The Big Good has raised $4.3 million, plus recently announced a country music A-Lister to headline its upcoming big night.

When GRAMMY Award winner Leon Bridges and former TCU head coach (and recent College Football Hall of Famer) Gary Patterson shared a love for helping others, they came together to create The Big Good in 2021.

Big intentions bring big change

The Big Good’s mission is to bridge the gap between local nonprofit organizations and their unmet needs by raising awareness and contributions. But these partner organizations don’t just address a single issue in our community. They address several — literacy, education, food insecurity, and unemployment.

Since 2021, The Big Good has had four sole partners — the Tarrant Area Food Bank, United Community Centers, T3 Partnership, and Upspire. In 2025 alone, the nonprofit granted $1.25 million to these groups.

How does 2025 compare to previous years?

Last year was the biggest year for the nonprofit, but former years have proved strong as well. Look at the annual breakdown:

  • 2024: $1,047,000
  • 2023: $1,075,000
  • 2022: $900,000
  • 2021: $75,000

The Big Good’s biggest night

Earlier this month, it was announced that Kacey Musgraves will headline The Big Night — the annual charity and live auction night on Thursday, April 9, at River Ranch Stockyards. Musgraves and Bridges collaborated on two hits, including her 2024 track “Superbloom.

Admission to the one-night, Western-chic event is guaranteed by sponsorships, starting at $2,500. But you can make any size donation on the website 365 days a year.
