The 2026 Winter Olympics have arrived and will run from Friday, Feb. 6, through Sunday, Feb. 22.
Thousands of athletes from all over the world are headed to Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo to compete in 16 sports (not including para) and 116 medal events. While nearly 2,900 athletes will compete, there are four who have already won us over.

Closing
The Stockyards Hotel and its next-door neighbor H3 Ranch will temporarily close this April to get ready for some major improvements. The restaurant will open back up later this year, while the hotel is expected to open early 2027. Renovations are projected to total nearly $30 million. Find out what’s changing. Announced
This week, Cynthia Sanchez Serrano was named the director of Fort Worth’s Public Events Department — which means she’ll be overseeing phase two of the convention center expansion. Serrano succeeds Mike Crum, who was in the role for five years.

The Cowgirl Museum expansion has reached one of its first milestones, completing its new facade. When you drive by, you will see 70 embossed horses along the top of the building. Those horses are about 10 feet tall from ear to hoof. I can’t wait to see the finished project — which is expected to finish in August.
