Ampersand Running Club | Founded by the West 7th coffee shop and bar, the club gets together at 6:30 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. It also hosts themed runs like Valentine’s and Christmas. Members get exclusive perks.
Glad Run Club | You’ll be glad you joined. This group runs 6:30 p.m. on Mondays + 7 a.m. on Saturdays. Hop in their Strava group.
Fort Worth Runners Club | The non-profit dedicated to running, walking, and fitness has activities and races for all levels. The next event is the First Responders 5K on Sunday, March 22 at the Trinity Park Pavilion.

Traffic bollards will be added to some streets in the Stockyards to enhance pedestrian safety during special events. The Fort Worth City Council approved increased funds for safety upgrades in the area this week.

The long-awaited Palo Pinto Mountains State Park has a soft opening date — this weekend. According to the website, 24 of the 57 campsites are available for reservations starting this Sunday, March 1. See what spots are left. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

Head to The Modern for the free Exhibition Lecture Series on the upcoming exhibit “Rashid Johnson: A Poem for Deep Thinkers” at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 6. The talk will cover the ideas, materials, and concepts behind the exhibit, before it runs Sunday, March 8-Sunday, Sept. 27.
Kids
The Fort Worth Public Library’s Computer-Aided Design (CAD) contest is back next month. Teens (grades 6-12) can design their own bridge using CAD software, 3D print it at their nearest library branch, and test its strength. The grand prize is a mini 3D printer. Submissions are due Tuesday, March 31.
