⚾️ Hey batta batta
Cheer on your favorite team — cough, cough the Raiders.
The College Baseball Series starts in just ten days, and Globe Life Field is hosting another three weekends this month. Starting next Friday, Feb. 13 to Sunday, Feb. 15, six college teams — including TCU and Texas Tech — will tee off for the Shriners Children’s College Baseball Showdown.
The action will continue with two weekends of the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series, featuring Texas A&M. Check the full schedule online.
This new apartment community recently became available to all ages thanks to overwhelming interest in the stylish spaces and growing Public Market area.
And after touring the gym, pool, clubhouse, and apartments, it’s easy to see why.
The pet-friendly one- and two-bedroom apartments are cozy and contemporary, with designer finishes + thoughtful touches everywhere we looked.
And the amenities.
We could write a whole newsletter (and maybe will) on the endless activities and lifestyle perks, but a few of our faves include:
Pickleball courts
On-site dining, market, and cocktail bar
Dog park
Pool + hot tub with downtown views
Private patios in select floor plans
Walkable access to the best parts of the historic Fort Worth Public Market
Dallas Mavericks rookie Cooper Flagg made history last week, scoring the most points ever by a teenager in the NBA during a matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. And get this — he was facing off with his former roommate at Duke. WFAA’s Paul Livengood shares more highlights.
Mansion Monday
When you think of a private island, you probably imagine palm trees, gently lapping waves, and a favorable UV index. That’s not exactly the case with this isolated piece of land in northeastern Maine. It’s a little easier to travel to the pool at this recently listed Westlake home. (Realtor)
Today Is
Groundhog Day, when Punxsutawney Phil emerges and predicts whether or not we’ll see an early spring — a tradition dating back 139 years. Whatever Phil says, we’ve got plenty of Panther City events lined up for February. Just check the forecast first.
Watch
Do not try this at home. Storied rock climber Alex Honnold recently climbed the tallest skyscraper in Taiwan without ropes or a harness, and Netflix livestreamed the event. If he ever came to Fort Worth, we wonder which of our most iconic landmarks he would scale.
Active
It can be tough to find time to work out. Good news — a new study suggests that a couple of 30-45 minute sessions per week could be enough to make “very good gains.” If you’ve got the time, see which of Fort Worth’s gyms would suit your schedule. (NPR)

Take your Southern hospitality to the next level by making a personalized logo for your home. You can put it on things like matchboxes, coffee cups, and notepads to create a hotel-style feel. Some North Texan flora would be a great touch — get inspired at a local park. (Southern Living)

Wow. TCU’s online master’s program in Criminal Justice is No. 3 in the nation, according to US News & World Report. The platform looked at almost 1,850 online bachelor’s programs and several master’s degree disciplines. UNT got even more rankings.
