Fort Worth diners didn’t hold back in 2025. From power-lunch steakhouses to see-and-be-seen Stockyards staples, these restaurants stayed booked all year long — and the reservations prove it.
OpenTable dropped its list of the most-booked spots, and the results read like the greatest hits of Fort Worth dining. Here are six tables that had everyone fighting to snag.
1. Texas de Brazil
Located downtown, this bustling Brazilian steakhouse grills its meat churrasco-style — which roughly translates to “barbecue” in Portuguese — and is famous for its expansive salad bar.
2. 97 West Kitchen + Bar at Hotel Drover
If you’re in the Stockyards, this fine eatery is a must. It serves fresh takes on Southern comfort foods, such as the short-rib grilled cheese and the Texas goat cheese grits.
3. Hudson House
The East Coast-inspired menu contains offerings like sushi rolls and raw oysters. It has one of the most raved about dirty martinis in town, and ask any Fort Worthian — its cheeseburger is “one of the best.”

Travel
Good news from American Airlines. The Fort Worth-based airline will now offer free Wi-Fi to AAdvantage members on nearly every flight starting this month, with a full roll-out complete by spring. WFAA’s Jason Whitely shares how travelers can connect.
Ranked
Hey, neighbor. The latest U-Haul Growth Index is out, and DFW ranked No. 1 on its list of the top growth metros — that means more one-way customers moved to the area than those who moved out. Good thing we have guides for new residents.
Sports
That’s all for Matt Eberflus. The Dallas Cowboys have parted ways with their defensive coordinator of one year. A replacement hasn’t been announced yet. Get more with Locked On daily podcasts.
Open
More than two years after the closing of Near Southside’s Tre Mogli, the space has a new occupant. The former bar captain at Quince presents Brooklyn’s — which is now open and is serving flavors from around the world. Italian, Korean — you name it.(Fort Worth Magazine)
Legacy
Co-founder of Citizens on Patrol Frank Diaz Jr. has died at 85. A long-time resident and member of the Crestwood Neighborhood Association, Diaz — who coined the nickname “Mayor of Crestwood” — faced complications from cancer. (Fort Worth Report)
Eat
If you’ve resisted the homemade pasta trend and still reach for boxed, you aren’t alone — and you definitely don’t have to feel guilty either. One of Fort Worth’s most highly rated chefs does the same thing. (Fort Worth Magazine)

1,116. That’s how many responses we received from readers during our Giving Campaign.
We analyzed all of those responses to learn more about what you enjoy — and want to see more of — in our newsletters. Here’s what you said:
~20-25% of messages expressed that local info + events are our key value. These readers probably love the Events and News Note sections of our newsletter, along with our monthly Plan Ahead.
~10% said that we’re part of their morning routine, and we couldn’t be happier to accompany your morning cup of coffee.
~10% praised our brevity + easy-to-read format, so we’ll be sure to keep this short.
Several people also called out our support of small businesses + our “no-politics” approach. Psst: More formalized small business coverage is coming soon, so be on the lookout.

Last week, we asked readers to get creative and think of some Fort Worthy item that would be perfect for a NYC-coded “ball” drop. Some of our favorite answers were:
The disco ball cowboyhat that’s in Sundance Square — Yes, this would make sense.
A piñata in the shape of a bull to kick off the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. Candy, trinkets, and coupons for everyone — Love this. Everyone scores.
A Stetson— Always classy.

Last month, I finally tried the viral Sushi Dojo in Southlake. I was immediately hooked on the sushi tacos and the Shaggy roll. Not to mention, they have macaron ice cream sandwiches for after you overeat, and the sweet tooth craving starts to set in. I may have been a little overeager when I told the cashier they should open a spot within Fort Worth.
