Seven Fort Worth campuses, including Morningside Middle and Clifford Davis Elementary, will adopt the TEA’s Resource Campus Model beginning next school year. The new model will require teachers and staff to reapply for their positions so that the district can evaluate and retain top performers. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

Four barbecue spots in Texas landed on Southern Living’s ranking of the “Top 50 BBQ Joints in the South,” including Fort Worth’s Panther City BBQ. The local restaurant came in at No. 15 and was lauded for its thick-sliced brisket and mouthwatering side dishes too.
Outdoors
The city of Fort Worth is currently developing an aquatics plan to evaluate existing pools and splash pads. Learn more, plus take a survey to contribute what features or improvements you’d like to see in the city’s public aquatic facilities. The city intends to draft a plan this fall.
