We’ve already introduced you to the origins of Molly the Cow — AKA the City of Fort Worth’s mascot. Today, we’re diving deeper and telling you where you can spot her around town.
In 1909, a longhorn head sculpture was placed on the Livestock Exchange Building to honor the cattle industry. Legend has it that the sculpture was placed there so it could have a vantage point of all the activity in town. It was later given the name “Molly,” which is said to identify the first longhorn in a herd.

This week, we asked you to guess which Pantone color Molly the Cow was — and by the looks of it we hoodwinked the majority. 73.9% of you thought it was Pantone 817 — but that’s just an area code.
The correct answer is Pantone 725 (copper) — only 21.87% knew it. However, you all knew that Molly is registered with the federal copyright office, which means she’s ours forever.

This is true, and whether you’re starting from scratch or looking to boost existing savings, share certificates offer an approachable and low-risk way to meet your savings goals.
Share certificates, also known as certificates of deposit (CDs), are versatile investment accounts that earn higher dividends than traditional savings accounts. The best part? More benefits include:
Flexible terms ranging from six to 60 months
Unlimited number of accounts (privately insured up to $250,000)
A minimum deposit requirement of just $500
Pro tip: Maximize returns through “laddering” or staggering the maturity dates of multiple accounts to maintain access to funds while taking advantage of potentially higher rates in the future.
