The Colorado breakfast chain opens today, introducing breakfast with a modern twist to Texas for the first time. Editor Elizabeth suggests the billion-dollar bacon, cinnamon swirl pancakes, and the buttermilk and sage biscuits and gravy.

If you step into the heat of summer, step into the Fort Worth Botanic Garden (FWBG). The FWBG is offering discounted admission on Thursdays, July 3 through Aug. 28. Adults get in for $5 + children 6-15 get in for $3. Check out its Dog Days events coming up.
Kids
A new state law permits eligible parents of pre-K students to receive up to $10,000 annually of financial support. The funds may be used for tuition at private or community-based child care centers, textbooks, or related school costs. Providers are still working out how to verify eligibility + how payments will run. (Fort Worth Report)

Hip Pocket Theatre raised its curtain on its 49th season last month, premiering Sam Shepard’s “The Mad Dog Blues.” Right now through Sunday, July 13, it’ll be performing Federico Garcia Lorca’s “The Billy Club Puppets.” Grab tickets for the 9 p.m. showtime. Pro tip: Pack a seat cushion and bug spray.
