Take a walk on the mild side
Walk, run, or bike along the Trinity Trails overlooking downtown Cowtown. | Photo via Flickr
Cowtown is blessed with abundant greenery and open spaces, so we’re here to give you some inspo to get outside and into the great outdoors.
Location, location, location. Smack in the middle of the city, these trails are arguably the favorite spot for Cowtown solo daytime hikers. Distances range from around 2.5 to 5.5 miles, and you’ll find plenty of people running + walking their pups along the river here, too.
The mostly paved trail is the longest on this list at almost 11 miles. The loop connects with the Trinity River, and spends much of its time alongside the banks of the gorgeous waterways.
Speaking of gorgeous waterways, beautiful lake views await at this park’s three different trails, spanning between three and seven miles. Heads up: Dogs aren’t allowed here, but there’s plenty to keep the rest of the family entertained.
