News Notes

Drink

Eat

Are you heading to Chick-fil-A this weekend? You’re not alone. The restaurant is the top-rated fast food chain in Texas. Just don’t forget to show our local chicken spots some love, too — we recommend Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken. (Brilliantmaps.com)

French Bulldogs are the most popular breed of dog in America, according to Visual Capitalist. Whether you’re a Frenchie fan or a Labrador lover, the Fort Worth Animal Care and Control has plenty of adoptable pets worth your affection — including Snoopy, a two-year-old Alaskan Klee Kai with two-toned eyes.

~$80.2 billion. That was DoorDash’s 2024 gross order value, which reminds us that we didn’t pick up groceries today... time for a local pizza delivery. (Sherwood News)

FTW-Downtown Fort Worth
Who wouldn’t want to live in the hustle and bustle of downtown? | Photo by FTWtoday
City Editor Kate, here — I’m looking for a new place to live when my lease ends in a couple months. Maybe, I’ll use our guide to see which Fort Worth neighborhood best aligns with my zodiac sign.

I’m was born during the Sagittarius-Capricorn cusp, so I’ve got a couple of options. No matter which area I end up in, living in Fort Worth is written in the stars.

Sagittarius: Ridglea Hills | Nov. 22-Dec. 21

This sign’s need for constant change and adventure can be fed with easy access to the bustling Camp Bowie Boulevard and a quiet getaway to the 10-acre Luther Lake, located in the middle of Ridglea Hills.

Capricorn: Downtown | Dec. 22-Jan. 19

With how hardworking you are, you’ll be pleased to hear there are plenty of spots downtown to network and work remotely. The neighborhood is home to beautifully restored buildings + residences that stand alongside modern skyscrapers.

City Guides are presented by Walsh.

The Wrap

Say good morning to Turbo — if you can catch him, that is. The three-month-old southern white rhino calf was born to Xena and Kahari at Fossil Rim Nature Center in Glen Rose. The zooming baby will make his public debut mid-March.

Answered

Which performances are you interested in most?

Bringing back the 60s — earlier this week, we shared the 14 fabulous musicals coming to Bass Performance Hall as part of the 2025-2026 Broadway at the Bass series.

We asked our readers which seats they were going to snag first and 64% of respondents will be crooning “Sweet Caroline” with tickets to “A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical.”
