2007 “Top Chef” runner-up Casey Thompson serves upscale Texas food like boar chili and beef carpaccio ciabatta at this bar and restaurant anchoring the new Nobleman Hotel.
Dos Mares, West 7th | Seafood | Projected opening: May 2025
A concept of chef Juan Ramón Cárdenas meaning “two seas,” this restaurant features casual Mexican seafood and will open next door to Don Artemio.
Duong DeVille, White Settlement | Vietnamese | Projected opening: December 2025
Gumpling chef and grocery store owner Hao Tran will open a new eatery that will serve specialties inspired by her Vietnamese heritage, like dumplings, pastries, and breads.

Due to track work, on Sunday, Feb. 16 TEXrail service won’t be available at Central Station or T&P Station until 5 p.m. Riders may use Bus Route 6 if needing to travel between the two stations. Service between North Side Station and DFW Airport Terminal B Station will operate on its regular schedule.

The City of Fort Worth and the FWFD will host the grand opening of Fire Station 43 on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 9 a.m. The new 11,000-sqft fire station is located on Walsh Ranch Parkway and will serve the west side of Cowtown — off Interstate 30 — which includes the Walsh Ranch development.

Fort Worth Country Day unveiled its newest $25 million, 32,270-sqft learning facility. The Annie Richardson Bass Lower School Building, which replaced the Lower School’s previous 60-year-old structure, opened last month. It will serve as a place to inspire and engage its students. Calling all croquet enthusiasts. Chef Tim Love is bringing a new concept to Cowtown and it will be a “country club for the people.” Stewart’s Croquet & Cocktails, an indoor-outdoor cocktail bar and croquet club, is coming this spring to the River District. (Fort Worth Magazine)

Move over Costco — a new bulk wholesaler is coming to town. Massachusetts-based BJ’s Wholesale Club is set to begin construction on a $9.5 million, 107,000-sqft store on Altamesa boulevard in June. Memberships start at $60 per year to shop for bulk groceries and gas. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

$375,000. That’s the amount the grand champion steer sold for Saturday during the Junior Sale of Champions auction at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. The steer, an American Cross named Alley Cat, was raised by 16-year-old Mattison Koepp and sold to Vaden’s Acoustics and Drywall. (WFAA)

Fuzz Lab is an arts and craft studio located in Alliance where you can try rug tufting, canvas painting, drip painting, and whipped cream clay design.
