What’s better than a weekend full of good food, drinks, and company? A festival that includes all three. The Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival (FWFWF) returns to the Heart of the Ranch at Clearfork for four delicious days and nights from Thursday, April 4 to Sunday, April 7.

Saturday, April 6
Rise + Dine | 12-2:30 p.m. | $65 | Taste and sip your way through this brunch-themed event.
Burgers, Brews + Blues | 6:30-9 p.m. | $85 | Enjoy live music as you flip out over burger and beer samples — plus, vote for your favorites.
Sunday, April 7
Ring of Fire | 2-5 p.m. | $85 | Smoked meats + open-flame cooking will accompany live music and drink samples.
Note: Sorry kids, this festival is adults-only (21+). Pets, except for service animals, are not permitted.
The plates may be small, but the flavor profiles are huge.

💰 Community impact
The event will benefit the Fort Worth Food + Wine Foundation, a nonprofit that raises funds for local grant programs and culinary scholarships. So far, the foundation has raised $325,000 to support culinary students from Fort Worth.

The city of McKinney is partnering with Colorado-based Notes Live to build Sunset Amphitheater, a $220 million open-air venue with a 20,000-person capacity, north of TX-121. The amphitheater will feature 250 fire pits, reserved mid and lower bowl seating, and custom suites. An opening is tentatively set for 2026. (The Dallas Morning News)

Hideway Pizza, a popular Oklahoma-based pizzeria, is coming to Fort Worth. The Sooner State eatery plans to open a 10,000-sqft location at 9800 North Freeway — next to Chuy’s Tex Mex. Expect menu items like pizza, pasta, salad, and sandwiches. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

DFW Airport was named the best large airport in North America for customer service by Airports Council International World for the second year in a row. The award is based on third-party customer survey responses.

The popular Dallas Festival of Colors is making its inaugural Cowtown debut at Panther Island Pavilion on Saturday, March 16, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Expect the Fort Worth Festival of Colors to include Holi celebrations with colorful powder, dance performances, live music, Indian food vendors, and more. Tickets are $8.

Jon Hammburger. That’s the newest menu item at JD’s Hamburgers named after — you guessed it — Jon Hamm. The “Mad Men” actor is currently in town filming Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman” series, so JD’s decided to create a burger for him with hopes that he’ll visit + give it a try.

We’re belting out “Copacabana” after hearing the news that Barry Manilow is bringing his “The Last Concerts” tour to Dickies Arena on Wednesday, Aug. 21. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10 a.m.

Putting your spelling skills to the test with a team of 2-5 friends at the Adult Spelling Bee on Sunday, March 24 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The bee will take place at the Southwest Regional Library (4001 Library Lane) + pre-registration is required.
