  • Today is the last day to register to vote for the Texas primary elections on Tuesday, March 5. If you are unsure of your current voter registration status, you can check it online here. Early voting for the March primary begins Tuesday, Feb. 20.

  • Oak & Eden plans to open its newest location in The Shops at Clearfork on Saturday, Feb. 10. The location will feature a 1,300-bottle library, a 1,700-sqft tasting room, and a craft bar with Oak & Eden permanent whiskeys. See what other restaurants are opening soon. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

  • Residents are invited to a free prostate cancer screening at Fort Worth’s Moncrief Cancer Institute on Saturday, Feb. 24. The 10th annual event will feature a continental breakfast and lunch. The event will be at 400 W. Magnolia Ave. from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is available online.

  • Arlington-based Hurtado Barbecue is gearing up to open its third location. The new Mansfield location will open in the place of Big D Barbecue at 226 N. Walnut Creek Dr. It’s expected to open in mid to late February.

  • It’s your last chance to visit Little Elm’s immersive Harry Potter experience. Dust off your Hogwarts uniform and immerse yourself in the famous forest scenes of the Harry Potter films and books, encounter woodland creatures, and visit the sorting hat. The exhibit in Little Elm Park will close on Sunday, Feb. 11.

  • Gift your Valentine something special this year at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. Walk through thousands of flowers and enjoy a picnic from the on-site Rock Springs Cafe now through Valentine’s Day. Picnic baskets are $25 per couple and should be ordered at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Turkey Den in east Fort Worth is temporarily closed for renovations. The restaurant — known for its stuffed smoked turkey legs and Cajun food — said it will be closed for the foreseeable future to enhance customer experience. Updates will be posted to its Facebook page.

  • Whether you’re looking forward to the game, the iconic commercials, or Usher, it’s time to make plans for football’s biggest night. Our suggestion? Head to Fat Daddy’s Mansfield for an epic watch party during the big game that you don’t want to miss.*
