It’s always special when your favorite artist releases new music, but nothing compares to watching them perform live.
Although concert announcements are still dropping every day, this year’s slate already appears to rival last year with colossal pop, rock, R&B, and country tours on the horizon.
Here is a list of some of the most anticipated concerts and music festivals that are sure to be hot ticket events across the Dallas-Fort Worth metro.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department awarded a $1.5 million grant to the city for the Sycamore Park Improvements project. Expected to begin next spring, the project will transform the decommissioned golf course into a nature-based space for recreational use with walking + bike trails and an overlook pavilion.
Development
Redevelopment for the Fort Worth Community Arts Center is delayed again. The development teams competing for the contract — Garfield Public/Private LLC + Goldenrod Companies — asked the city for additional time to work on their bids. The city gave the companies until April to submit their final proposals. (Fort Worth Report)
Kids
There’s a new kid-sized immersive exhibit at Arlington’s River Legacy Nature Center. Kids can climb, crawl, and slide on treetops, or become a conductor for the day and work on the Union Pacific engine. The exhibit called Forever Forest is open until Saturday, Feb. 10.
Number
$250,000. That’s how much the city of Fort Worth allocated for the revitalization of the Eastside YMCA. The money comes from the Community Partnership funds and will play a crucial role in the ongoing efforts to renovate the community center’s swimming pool.
Festival
Calling all foodies — the full lineup is out for the 2024 Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival at the Heart of the Ranch at Clearfork. The culinary events will begin Tuesday, April 4 with a Taco + Tequila event and end Sunday, April 7 with the Ring of Fire.
Community
Starting Tuesday, Feb. 6, the city’s main animal shelter locations will pause operations once a week to allocate more time to clean the facilities and care for pets. The Silcox Animal Adoption and Care Center will observe this on Tuesdays, and the North Animal Shelter will close on Wednesdays.

UT Austin’s management school will be renamed for local business leaders. Rozanne and Billy Rosenthal of Fort Worth’s Standard Meat Co. donated $25 million this month to the McCombs School of Business to increase its efforts around research and innovation. The school will be renamed the Rosenthal Department of Management.
Biz
Hydrogen storage solutions company Harnyss opened its new headquarters in far west Fort Worth last week. The Michigan-based company’s breakthrough technology — a microgrid in a box — is a storage unit for hydrogen and provides safe, cost-effective clean energy.
