Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership announced its inaugural board of directors earlier this week, following its formation in March. The Historic and Cultural Landmarks Commission will review the state of the T&P Warehouse on Monday, Sept. 11, after a 30-day continuance was issued in the last meeting. Engineering firm Frank W. Neal and Associates said the vacant landmark needs $2 million in structural repairs.

TTI Inc. held its annual canned goods sculpture contest to support the Tarrant Area Food Bank. Sunday’s contest yielded 10,000 cans and boxes of food + $1,500 for the local nonprofit — as well as non-perishable food sculptures like a giant rocket ship, race car, hippo, and mac and cheese tower. Dallas’s Sixth Floor Museum acquired a rare Fort Worth artifact for its “Two Days in Texas” exhibition opening Wednesday, Nov. 8. The collection will include a former Eastern Hills High School band member’s trombone performed in the last rendition of “Hail to the Chief” that President John F. Kennedy heard.
