Twenty-six acres of privately owned land were sold to Austin-based Seco Ventures for Panther Island. Represented by LanCarte Commercial Real Estate, the ten-parcel sale is the project’s largest single investment from a private landowner. The land is estimated at $7 million. A new pilot program will make it easier to open a food truck. Starting in September, chefs and proprietors can visit the Tarrant County Public Health Department to get a permit to operate anywhere within Tarrant County, rather than needing applications for individual municipalities. The city is hosting a preproposal conference for the Community Art Center redevelopment today at 3 p.m. Developers are invited to gather more information and tour the building in advance of the RFP deadline on Thursday, Sept. 14.

A new Japanese-inspired art exhibition will premiere at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden next month. “Florigami in the Garden” will feature 18 sculptures ranging from a few feet tall to 30+ feet tall, folding into the landscape. The collection will run Saturday, Aug. 19-Wednesday, Feb. 14.
Development
The zoning commission approved a plan for 350+ single-family homes in far south Fort Worth last week. TTP Partnership is planning a new 135-acre, three-phase development along Forest Hill Everman Road. City Council will review the case for annexation on Tuesday, Aug. 8. (Fort Worth Inc.)

The “Man in Black” is coming to Fort Worth this fall with a throwback concert series at Bass Performance Hall.
The 2023-2024 BNSF Popular Entertainment Series will feature a special tribute to Johnny Cash on Saturday, Oct. 28.
