Hop up to these egg hunts and brunches to celebrate Easter around Fort Worth

Peeps are on the shelves and pastel is everywhere, you know what that means — Easter is just around the corner. To soak up the sweetness of springtime, we’re rounding up Easter-themed events for every bunny in the family.

Texas-sized Easter Egg Hunt, Stockyards
Hop around the Stockyards on Saturday, April 8, and look for Easter eggs filled with candy and toys. There will also be live music and kid-friendly activities starting at 12 p.m.

Easter Egg Hunt, Chisholm Trail Park
Head to the park’s soccer fields to hunt colorful eggs on Saturday, April 8 from 12-2 p.m.

Epic Easter Egg Hunts, Fort Worth Community Centers
The Easter bunny will be hopping around several community centers this week, giving kids the chance to hunt for eggs, eat candy, and take photos. Be sure to check the full schedule for locations + times.

Electric Egg Hunt, The Keller Pointe, Keller
Teens (ages 11-17) can let loose in a nighttime egg hunt on Thursday, April 6 with blacklight flashlights and neon eggs from 8 to 10 p.m. Register in advance for $25. On Friday, April 7 everyone above the age of three is invited to participate in the Underwater Eggstravaganza at the pool featuring vendors, candy, and prizes.

Pop-Up Egg Hunts, North Richland Hills
Get your baskets ready — parks around the city will host three days of egg hunts beginning Wednesday, April 5. Each day, the city will announce which two parks will host a pop-up egg hunt, so keep your eyes locked on social media. Bonus: One egg at each park will feature a Bunny Prize.

It’s a giraffe baby boom — The Dallas Zoo welcomed a 131-lb baby girl on Sunday, March 19 to mom Chrystal and dad Tebogo.

About an hour southwest of Fort Worth at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, two giraffe calves were also born in March. According to the wildlife center, Waffles was born Saturday, March 4 and the second baby, not yet named, was born Sunday, March 19. All of the new calves are said to be doing well.
