Dallas’ Novel Coffee Roasters is moving to Fort Worth. Cherry Coffee Shop owner Katherine Morris purchased the roastery last month and plans to move it just north of the Foundry District along the Trinity River. In a press release, Katherine said she’s working closely with the former owners to ensure a smooth transition.

Cowtown is one of three North Texas cities to get a new Kroger Marketplace location. The grocery chain plans to open stores in Fort Worth, Plano, and Melissa by 2024. The Marketplace stores offer full-service grocery, pharmacy, and home goods departments. The exact locations are not yet known. (CultureMap Dallas)

Stanley Black & Decker is closing its Fort Worth factory, laying off 175 people. The toolmaker opened its Alliance facility in 2020 and made mechanic tools under the Craftsman brand. The company said the move is part of a $2 billion cost-saving strategy. (The Dallas Morning News)

The Forest Park Miniature Railroad now has until summer to start running. The operator said it’s experiencing delays with equipment repairs and deliveries. The city extended the deadline for a third time, now giving the company until Friday, June 30 to get rolling.

Margie’s Original Italian Kitchen on Camp Bowie Boulvedard W. will close as it undergoes two months of remodeling. The 70-year-old restaurant was recently sold to the owners of JD’s Hamburgers and they plan to freshen up the decor and add new menu items. Once complete, the restaurant will accommodate around 120 guests.

Fort Worth actor Eric Nelsen is partnering with a new bourbon company called Bucking Bull Bourbon. The “1883” star will serve as the brand ambassador and spokesperson for the Texas-based bourbon. It’s expected to hit the shelves in April.
