When the weather is gorgeous, skip the dining room table and head outdoors to enjoy your meal al fresco. Here are five local parks we recommend for a picnic.

Airfield Falls Conservation Park
Located at 200 Pumphrey Dr., guests can experience the history + explore nature as they take in the beauty of Tarrant County’s largest natural waterfall.

Trinity Trails
Enjoy 100+ miles of walking, running, and biking routes — our favorite spot is alongside the West 7th Street bridge for the beautiful views of downtown.

Fort Worth Water Gardens
This water oasis at 502 Commerce St. is a breath of fresh air from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Burnett Park
Grab food from surrounding restaurants — like Buon Giorno Coffee, Picchi Pacchi Pizzeria, or Bailey’s BBQ — then head across the street to 501 W. 7th St. to enjoy the views of downtown.

Trinity Park Duck Pond
The Duck Pond — at 2200 Trinity Park Dr. — is a great spot to eat within the picture-perfect park along the Trinity.

If a picnic isn’t for you — and you prefer AC and a full-service bar, may I suggest checking out Gemelle?

We tried the Tim Love concept last week and we can’t get over the vibrant decor, expansive seating, and delicious food. The restaurant is located off White Settlement Road overlooking the banks of the Trinity River, serving as the perfect place to kick back with good company. Take a look inside.
