A new art piece named ‘One With the Bee’ by artist Dixie Friend Gay will be dedicated with a ribbon-cutting at North Z. Boaz Park on Saturday, April 1 at 10 a.m.
The 20-ft tall flower features a 160-degree opening on one side allowing viewers to see into the center of the flower, while the scale allows the visitor to experience the art as an insect would an actual flower. The artwork represents the importance of healthy bee habitat and the insect’s critical role in pollination.
