Step aside green eggs and ham — the spotlight is on a new sugary program featuring local pastry chef Tareka Lofton from Loft22 Cakes . Tareka is headed to the big stage for Prime Video’s “Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge .”

A look inside the magical world 🍭

The culinary show features 18 bakers in nine teams competing for the grand prize of $50,000. The teams will bring the magical world of Dr. Seuss to life with extravagant cakes, cookies, and pastries. Watch the full trailer .

The star-studded cast 🎂

The show is hosted by Emmy award-winner Tamera Mowry-Housley and judged by baking icons Clarice Lam and Joshua John Russell.

Local favorite Tareka will team up with pastry chef Lorenzo Delgado from North Carolina — the two will make up the yellow team. Each team will be tasked with creating edible, jaw-dropping masterpieces based on Dr. Seuss’s characters and stories. They’ll be judged on taste, creativity, accuracy, and storytelling.
