Attention music lovers and party-goers. It’s time to start warming up your dance moves for the second annual Jambaloo Music Festival.

Jambaloo is a free (that’s right — free) week-long North Texas music festival featuring 30 local music acts across 14 venues, running from Saturday, Feb. 7 to Sunday, Feb. 15. It’s way more than a concert series — it’s a way to unite the music community, support small businesses + uplift local artists.

Symposium kickoff

Starting the party strong, Jambaloo kicks off with a symposium on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 6 p.m., at Tulips. The discussion will feature a panel of Grammy Award winners, including Larry Griffin Jr. and Tre Negalla, plus music industry expert Tami Thomsen.

The panel will also feature two locals from the Texas Music Office and the Fort Worth Music Office, Chip Adams and Tom Martens, discussing DFW’s rich music scene.

Two more panels

On Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Tulips, four panelists will discuss mental health challenges that musicians and creatives face. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and Tulips.

The next day, on Thursday, Feb. 12, four women from some of DFW’s major record stores will talk community, vinyl culture, and the highs and lows of running a small business. Doors open at 7 p.m at Dallas’ Spinster Records.

The lineup

This year, Jambaloo will showcase 30+ local artists from a variety of genres over a week-long span. Check the full list of performances and their showtimes so you never miss a beat. Pop band Tripping Daisy, rock band Low Cut Connie, and American Idol’s Catie Turner are among the performers to take the stage.

This year, the number of venues participating has upped from four to 14. The returning venues include Tulips in Fort Worth and Club Dada in Dallas.

Tickets

Although free, festival-goers must RSVP to attend any of the 25+ showcases. Can’t make it the day of? Performances at Tulips will be livestreamed for free on the WFAA+ streaming app, available on Roku, Fire TV + Apple TV.
