Will LaGrave Field be demolished?

Today — Tuesday, June 18 — has two notable civic opportunities for you to attend.

At 9 a.m., the Tarrant Regional Water District will review many items, including the potential demolition of LaGrave Field to accommodate the updated vision for the Panther Island project. The meeting, in the TRWD Board Room at 800 E. Northside Drive, opens to the public at 8:30 a.m. Public comment will take place at the beginning of the meeting; you will need to sign up to speak.

This evening, at the Will Rogers Memorial Complex’s Roundup Inn (3401 W. Lancaster Ave.), the city will host one of its first Vision Summit events. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. From 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., you are invited to discuss the 2050 Comprehensive Plan and what the city will look like across the next three decades with strategies to improve things like infrastructure, public spaces, and housing.
