It may be called a funny bone, but finding the right healthcare is no laughing matter. That’s why the US News & World Report evaluates 500+ Texas hospitals every year to rank the 30 best healthcare facilities in the state.

In Dallas-Fort Worth, nine adult hospitals and two children’s health centers made the list of best in the state. Keep reading to see how these regional spots weigh in for 2024-2025.

Adult care

No. 2 | UT Southwestern Medical Center
The teaching hospital is nationally ranked in 11 specialties including cancer care and has locations in Dallas and Fort Worth. The hospital was ranked No. 1 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

No. 3 | Baylor University Medical Center
The Dallas-based facility is nationally ranked in cancer care, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and GI surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics, and pulmonology and lung surgery.

No. 11 | Baylor Scott and White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth
The hospital is nationally ranked in diabetes and endocrinology + high performing in four adult specialties.

No. 13 (tie) | Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas
The hospital is high-performing in nine procedures and conditions and moved up in the rankings this year.

No. 15 (tie) | Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth
Moving up from No. 20, this hospital is high-performing in 10 procedures and conditions including heart attack and diabetes care.

No. 18 (tie) | Medical City Dallas
The hospital is high performing in cancer care + seven procedures and conditions.

No. 18 (tie) | Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest
The Benbrook-area hospital is high-performing in eight procedures and conditions including colon cancer surgery.

No. 23 (tie) | Baylor Scott and White Medical Center – Irving
The Grapevine hospital is high-performing in seven procedures and conditions.

No. 23 (tie) | Methodist Dallas Medical Center
The hospital is high-performing in seven procedures and conditions including heart attack and heart failure.
