How would you spend $1.2 billion?

The Powerball jackpot climbed to an estimated $1.2 billion this week — the fourth-largest in US history. And, according to Powerball, the odds of winning are pretty slim, about 1 in 292.2 million. But it got us thinking, what could we buy in Fort Worth if we had all that money? Here are a few ideas to get the ball rolling.

Real Estate 🏡

$7.9 million | The most expensive home on the market | The 4,261-sqft ranch-style home is located at 4721 Rendon Rd. — about 15 minutes from downtown — and sits on 200 acres of land. It features six bedrooms, 2.5 baths and is listed by Williams Trew.

Indulge 🍦

$500 million | 55 million ice cream pints from MELT Ice Cream | Why not split the winnings on sweets? We’d pick up several million tubs of Rocky Road, Salt Lick, and Strawberry ice cream.

World Travel ✈️

$10,000 | First class, round-trip flight from DFW Airport to Hong Kong | The American Airlines flight is 17 hours long, traveling about 8,000 miles — making it the second-lengthiest journey from DFW Airport.

Shopping 👢

$500 million | 1 million pairs of Justin Cowgal boots | Sprucing up our wardrobe is a must — these 13" boots are part of the AQHA collection and feature a full quill ostrich vamp and a rustic cowhide upper.

Did we get the ideas flowing? Tell us what you would buy locally if you won. The next Powerball drawing is Saturday, Nov. 5. May the odds be ever in your favor.
