Where to spin your way through Record Store Day

Fort Worth record stores are celebrating the big day with special releases, live music, local eats, and more.

Set your alarms early for Record Store Day on Saturday, April 12. The special day for music lovers and vinyl collectors occurs twice a year — once in the spring and again on Black Friday. Both times, musicians release special edition records in limited quantities.

Keep the records spinning all day at these local celebrations:

Doc’s Records and Vintage, 2628 Weisenberger St.
Visit the store from 12 to 6 p.m. for live music, an outdoor flea market, free drinks from Shiner Beer, and empanadas by Hand Pies.

Panther City Vinyl, 1455 W. Magnolia Ave., #113
You know the drill — RSD exclusives are limited to one copy of each title per person starting at 10 a.m.

Record Town, 120 St. Louis Ave., #105
Browse the store’s RSD stock, then get there right at 9 a.m. before titles sell out.

Saint Marie Records, 623 N. Chandler Dr.
If you’re an early riser and get to the store as it opens at 7 a.m., you could snag an exclusive tote, cup, and air freshener — limit one per customer as supplies last.

Don’t miss a beat — travel just outside of Fort Worth to dive into more deals. Keller’s County Line Records will host live music and food trucks, the 11,000-sqft Forever Young Records in Grand Prairie created a PowerPoint presentation for RSD exclusives, and get a free mystery bag with a $50 purchase at Hurst’s Rag and Bone Records.
