Consider this your local foodie news wire — from popular restaurants suddenly closing to new eateries opening their doors, here’s what’s happening around Fort Worth.

Recently closed

La Onda | The Race Street seafood restaurant closed earlier this week, but the owners said it’s not the end of the road.

Thirty Eight & Vine | The Foundry District wine bar closed earlier this month + is selling its inventory .

The Beast and Company | The upscale restaurant opened last spring on Magnolia Avenue but closed due to financial strain on April 3.

Blue Butterfly Cafe | Last month, the clean-eating cafe closed its Camp Bowie shop.

Original Mexican Eats Cafe | The Camp Bowie diner will close at the end of June and consolidate its operations at its newest restaurant The Original Del Norte .

Edelweiss German Restaurant | The German eatery in Benbrook Traffic Circle closed last month and is working on finding a new location.

Recently opened

Lolas Cuban Food | The popular food truck is serving traditional Cuban cuisine at its first brick-and-mortar in Cityview Centre.

Quince | The restaurant opened in March in WestBend serving ceviche, sushi, and American bites.

Heirloom Garden Cafe | The farm-to-table eatery recently opened a food truck at Archie’s Gardenland on the west side.

Gold Handle Coffee Co. | The Duke-inspired coffee shop in the Stockyards is serving up coffee and spirits with decor inspired by John Wayne.

Koe Wetzel’s Riot Room | Country artist Koe Wetzel is behind this new West 7th bar and restaurant.
