City Editor Kate, here. 👋 I love home improvement projects. I recently moved into a 100-year old house and am spending my weekends puttering around and getting my hands dirty in the backyard.

I want to let y’all in on a gold mine for do-it-yourselfers and vintage-loversThe Old Home Supply Store is an antique store-meets-salvage yard that has everything you need for a design project or home renovation.

Located on four corners at the intersection of West Jefferson and College Avenues in historic Fairmount , it has everything from recovered mid-century tubs to antique doorknobs, vintage chandeliers to wrought-iron yard art. On Saturday, I picked up a couple of six-panel doors that I’m going to refinish.

Stop by daily for a home supply scavenger hunt and, if you’re looking for even more vintage home goods, check out our round up of local thrift shops .
