Number

1,008,106. That was the city of Fort Worth’s population as of July 1, 2024. That’s also how much trash we could clean up for Earth Day if all of us picked up one piece today — just some food for thought.

Plan Ahead

Artisan Circle will host its second annual Cinco de Mayo celebration on Sunday, May 3. The free-to-attend event will feature live music and performances, shopping, and food from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Shop

Mother’s Day is just a few weeks away — now’s the time to find a gift that feels truly special. Think beyond the usual with something they’ll reach for again and again, like a travel-friendly jewelry box personalized with their initial or a top-rated Barefoot Dreams cardigan they’ll never want to take off.*

I’m obsessed with this photo of the zoo’s newest resident, a two-toed sloth named Olive. She joins the zoo’s World of Primates complex, which recently reopened with updates such as boardwalk access and Olive’s new habitat.

Later this year, the zoo will begin construction on Phase Two of the World of Primates renovation. Stay tuned for a larger gorilla habitat and new shade structures, among other improvements.
