The 2026 FIFA World Cup is quickly approaching, and the nine matches being held at AT&T Stadium — or rather, Dallas Stadium — aren’t the only thing fans can look forward to.
If you can’t get a ticket to the Arlington matches, that’s okay. The North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee is hosting a month-long Fan Festival from Thursday, June 11 to Sunday, July 19.
Fans will be able to enjoy live broadcasts of all 104 matches from giant TV screens. The grounds will be open on the 34 game days and closed on the five rest days, when no matches are played. Here’s just some of the things fans can expect:
Family-friendly activities, including a playground, a mini-pitch, and skills contests
Curated food and drink options highlighting local cuisine, plus vegetarian, vegan, and kosher options
A beer garden
Two main stages, showcasing musical, dance, and cultural performances
Imagine the parties you could host at this 662-acre ranch 40 miles south of Fort Worth. The residential area itself makes up 7,000 sqft, with five bedrooms total. It even comes with an indoor racquetball court and a 10,000-sqft event venue. You have to see it. (The Dallas Morning News)
Traffic
Headed down University Drive soon? A portion of the busy road will be temporarily closed Tuesday, March 24-Thursday, March 26 at 4 a.m. The City of Fort Worth has instructions if you’re trying to get to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden.
Shop
After 30 years, Nordstrom is set to close in the Galleria. Its last day of business is Saturday, May 16, but the location at NorthPark Center and Frisco’s Stonebriar Centre will remain open. (Dallas Business Journal)
Drink
A London-style pub is moving into Arlington’s former Shakertins by the end of April. The Londoner will serve British favorites, including fish and chips, bangers and mash, and even Guinness-braised short ribs. There are three locations already in DFW, including Colleyville, Dallas + Addison. (Arlington Report)
Development
One of Fort Worth’s biggest retail centers, Presidio Junction, has been sold to Younger Partners Investments — the owners of Artisan Circle. Their first order of business? Wayfinding improvements and constructing additional signage. Visitors can expect not to see major changes.

Post of the Day
Team officials are already busy assembling the coaching staff and player roster.
Touchdown. Fort Worth’s semi-professional football team — the Braves — is returning. The Fort Worth Braves had a brief run from 1968 to 1971, and now they’re back. While the team doesn’t have a home stadium just yet, it does have its head coach. Led by Ruben “Duck” Contreras, the Braves will be a part of the new Continental Football League — set to kick off this summer. Go Braves.

As you can tell, it’s a big day for football — the kind with goals and the kind with touchdowns. Not gonna lie — I’m super stoked about the Fort Worth Braves comeback. If they need a cheerleader, I might just audition.
