Fort Worth night owls may know this, but the TCU women’s basketball (WBB) team is headed to the Sweet 16 round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament. Late Sunday night, the TCU WBB secured a tight victory (62-59) over Washington in overtime at Schollmaier Arena.
Graduate student Olivia Miles led all players with 18 points. The team will now head to Sacramento, Calif., this Saturday, March 26 to tip off against No. 10 Virginia. Watch it on ESPN or scope out some of FTW’s biggest screens.
It’s a big week for DFW sports. The Dallas Stars are skating toward the Stanley Cup playoffs, despite Sunday’s 3–2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights. Thanks to the Utah Mammoth’s victory, the Stars are headed to the postseason championship for their fifth consecutive year. Playoffs begin Saturday, April 18. (The Dallas Morning News)

The Cattle Raisers Museum debuts its newest multi-gallery photography exhibition, “XIT Ranch: A Texas Legend Returns,” this Friday, March 27. The exhibit showcases ranch culture of one of the longest-enduring Texas ranches — which was founded in 1885 and spans three million acres. Get tickets.

The future Heritage and Paddock Parks — set to open by 2023 — have received about $8 million in funding. The Regional Transportation Council approved the amount earlier this month.
