The 2026 Annual Meeting was held in the Fort Worth Convention Center.

Photos by FTWtoday

On Friday, the FTWtoday team attended Visit Fort Worth’s 2026 Annual Meeting. Here are three things on our radar that you can get excited about right now:
  1. Trinity Metro’s upcoming “la linea rosa,” or pink line, connecting downtown and La Gran Plaza
  2. Visit Fort Worth’s latest campaign series, “Hometown Heroes,” featuring big names and the places they love the most
  3. Fort Worth Leadership’s free 90-minute course on how to become a more hospitable resident or business owner ahead of the FIFA World Cup
As we learn more about each of these, we’ll share it here in the daily newsletter, so stay tuned.

Home is where the outdoor and indoor pools are, obviously.

Mansion Monday

That’s not a house — that’s a castle. We’re in awe of this 20,000-sqft Montserrat residence, with its temperature-controlled wine gallery, state-of-the-art movie theater, gym, and elevator. According to the listing, it was built by the owner of the Texas Rangers.

Announced

The Kimbell Art Museum has hired Australia-born art historian Emerson Bowyer as its newest chief curator. Bowyer previously served as the painting and sculpture curator for the Art Institute of Chicago, but officially started at the Kimbell last week. Check out the latest exhibit. (Fort Worth Report)

Ranked

Meow Wolf Grapevine was ranked in the top ten “Best Immersive Art Experiences” by USA Today’s Reader Choice Awards. Crack the mystery of the disappearance of the game’s protagonist. Get tickets, starting at $35.

Film

Cue the theme music. Warner Bros. is planning a film adaptation of “Game of Thrones,” set 300 years before the events of the iconic series. While we wait, “Game of Thrones: The Exhibition” at the Arlington Museum of Art is the closest thing we’ve got to a Westeros-bound teleport. It closes Sunday, April 5. (The Guardian)

List

Working hard, or hardly working? Fort Worth landed at No. 13 on WalletHub’s list of the hardest-working cities in the US, and Dallas No. 7. Case in point: Pop into a local coffee shop, and you’ll spot plenty of local professionals putting in the grind.

Pets

Why did the chicken cross the road? To become friends with a pack of dogs, apparently. You could recreate Stevie’s remarkable story with our guide to owning chickens in Fort Worth. (The Guardian)

Listen

I bet you weren’t expecting this. “Jump” over to YouTube to see Coca Cola’s FIFA World Cup theme song, featuring J Balvin, Amber Mark + Travis Barker. Van Halen fans will recognize it. Follow WFAA’s Paul Livengood for more.

Number

$0. That’s how much 94% of Nourish patients pay out of pocket to talk to a dietitian covered by their insurance. You could be covered, too — check your coverage + get matched with a dietitian who can cut through the food noise and build you a plan to thrive.*

The Wrap

Today’s edition by: Elizabeth Hastings

I finally got to shake hands with Mayor Mattie Parker after the Annual Meeting last week. I know we have some shopaholics here, so I couldn’t help but ask her what she was wearing. Mayor Parker was sporting a Western Toile L’AGENCE blouse with coordinating wide-leg pants, underneath a navy Veronica Beard blazer, accented with gold-crest buttons. All items are still available, by the way.
