News Notes

Mansion Monday

Britney Spears recently sold the rights to her entire music catalog for an estimated $200 million. For considerably less money, you could buy this Montrachet mansion with 5,100+ sqft of living space, an outdoor cabana, and pickleball courts. (NBC News)

Coming Soon

The health food shop Original ChopShop — which focuses protein bowls, salads, and smoothies — is set to open up its third Tarrant County location in FTW’s Medical District by late March. With no set date announced, we’ll be on the lookout, as the first 75 customers get a free tote bag. (CultureMap Fort Worth)

Drink

The most expensive US whiskey sale ever — a bottle of 1982 Kentucky bourbon — recently sold for ~$162,000 in New York City. You won’t need pockets anywhere near as deep at one of Fort Worth’s buzzy happy hours. (Southern Living)

Travel

Planning an escape to Cancun? You’re in good company — it’s the top-searched international destination for spring breakers in Texas. If you’re flying out of DFW International Airport, a little planning goes a long way. Here’s what to know before you head to the terminal.

Real Estate

Stability is in style. US homeowners are setting new records for staying put, with the average homeowner now living in their house for about nine years. While your moving boxes gather dust, who says you can’t have a little fun browsing Fort Worth’s real estate? (Axios)

Sports

The Dallas Cowboys have hired SMU Defensive Coordinator Scott Symons as inside linebackers coach. WFAA’s Paul Livengood loves these sports updates.

Real Estate

It’s no secret that we love touring high-end spaces around FTW: especially when we get to stop by the pool and pickleball courts. Check out our recent visit to this swanky downtown community.*

Arts

Let’s dance. Registration is open for Texas Ballet Summer Dance experiences, offering Ballet Basics, Adult Intensives, Modern, Jazz, Musical Theater, and more. Bonus: Did you know adults can drop in for Yoga and Pilates? See the schedule + find what moves you.*

Number

$0. That’s how much 94% of Nourish patients pay out of pocket to talk to a dietitian covered by their insurance. You could be covered, too — check your coverage + get matched with a dietitian who can cut through the food noise and build you a plan to thrive.*

The Buy

Tired of being … tired? You’re not alone. For millions of people over 35, the problem isn’t stress, late nights, or a busy schedule — it’s mineral deficiency. That’s where Organixx Magnesium 7 comes in. The doctor-formulated supplement features seven highly absorbable forms of magnesium to help you fall asleep faster, stay asleep through the night, and wake up feeling well-rested.

Answered

Last week, we asked readers what a krewe was in Mardi Gras.

About 60% of readers guessed correctly. A krewe is a special organization that hosts Mardi Gras parades. It’s not too late to attend a party.

The Wrap

Today’s edition by: Elizabeth Hastings

Hey Benbrook neighbors. Last week, I tried out a tea shop called Benbrook Tea & Wellness. This delightful little shop is located on Winscott Road just south of I-20, and owner Karen Henderson is the sweetest.

I tried the “Happy Place” tea, which Karen said never disappoints. Pick one up for a friend the next time you drive by. Also, make sure you check out the gorgeous mural inside. You’ll have to visit in person to see it.
