The “greatest spectacle in racing” is quickly approaching DFW — so buckle up — here’s what we know so far about the big race coming to town Friday, March 13-Sunday, March 15.
  • The course | Arlington officials released the course map in October 2024. In case you missed it, the 2.73-mile, 14-turn track will weave its way through Arlington’s sports and entertainment district.
  • Tickets | Daily general admission and reserved seating (grandstand) tickets start at $50. Both types of tickets provide access to the Good Ranchers Concert Series on Friday + Sunday.
  • Kids | Children ages 12 and under receive free general admission all weekend long, accompanied by a ticketed adult.
  • Entertainment | T-Pain, All Time Low, Disco Lines, and local rock band Giovannie and the Hired Guns have all been confirmed to perform during the Good Ranchers Concert Series.

News Notes

Eat

Fort Worth may have been overlooked by the James Beard Awards, but Yelp is giving us love. Hatsuyuki Handroll Bar has been listed at No. 36 in their 2026 Top 100 US Restaurants. Well deserved. The list recognizes the highest-rated restaurants by the Yelp community.

Edu

Cha-ching. Teacher salaries at six Fort Worth “turnaround” schools will start at $100,000 beginning this August. The pay raise aims to attract the best teachers qualified to improve FWISD academics. See the list of schools. (Fort Worth Report)

Health

Baylor Scott & White will open a new $15 million “small format” hospital in Willow Bend by the end of the year. Two more are also planned for Fort Worth’s Renaissance Square and near Texas Motor Speedway. Each location will include 16 patient beds, plus X-ray equipment and CT imaging. (Fort Worth Report)

Sports

The Longhorns were named favorites for the 2026 National Championship. Get the biggest stories every day from the local experts of the Texas Longhorns with Locked On’s daily podcasts.

Number

16. That’s the record-breaking number of nominations “Sinners” received for this year’s Oscars. Released in April, it will be hard to find it at a local theater, but some other nominated flicks are still on the schedule, including “Marty Supreme,” “Hamnet,” and “Zootopia 2.” (The Hollywood Reporter)

Watch

And speaking of the Oscars. The live ceremony airs on Sunday, March 15, at 6 p.m. Shoutout to WFAA’s Sandra Turner for sharing.

The Wrap

Today’s edition by: Elizabeth Hastings

My #OOTD for the #FWSSR. Looking for inspiration? I find it incredibly hard to dress warm and still look trendy, but I felt both in this. For the Best of Mexico Celebración this past weekend, I wore a cropped turtle-neck sweater, a denim midi-skirt, and my favorite Thunder Roads. Hope this helps.
