You already know that here at FTWtoday, we’re big fans of Hao’s Grocery and Cafe. While owner and chef Hao Tran still offers her wide selection of cooking classes (such as Italian pasta or Japanese Bento boxes), Tran’s weekly late-night CommuniTEA Table parties return next Thursday, Jan. 8.
Join tea experts at Hao’s every Thursday night from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. Enjoy authentic Asian teas directly from their source, vegan delicacies from It’s Food, and live music from talented DJs. It’s parTEA-time.
Today, Dec. 31 is the last day of Celebrate Kwanzaa 2025 at The Dock Bookshop. Shop the Dock from 1 to 7 p.m., take the kiddos to the Kid Zone for arts, crafts + games from 2 to 4 p.m., or enjoy a local art show from 4 to 7 p.m.

If you’ve been wondering what this editor did over the holidays (aside from lots of eating and spending time with family and friends), I was back home in Arkansas. By the time you read this newsletter, I’ll have returned to my regular post in Fort Worth.
Tonight, I’m headed to Lights All Night in Dallas to ring in the New Year. I haven’t worked on my New Year’s resolutions, though. If you have time, send me yours so I have some inspiration handy.
