🦎 Who let the lizards out?

FTW_horned_lizards_gif

Okay, but like — the babies are so cute.

Photos by the Fort Worth Zoo

The Fort Worth Zoo just keeps breaking its own record. Last October, it released 617 Texas Horned Lizards into the wild, continuing its 14-year fight against the animal’s extinction. This Thursday, the conservation team will release another 700 to 800 at the Mason Mountain Wildlife Management Area.

A spokesperson for the zoo says they’ve event identified offspring around its release site — which can only mean the conservation project is headed in the right direction.

The Wrap

Before I was an editor for this newsletter, I used to work in fashion and retail. I still get my cardio from shopping, and an online flash sale hates to see me comin’.

If your closet is feeling a little stale ahead of fall and you’re looking for something fresh to wear to a TCU tailgate or a reservation at The Mont, here are a few transitional pieces from local boutiques that I have been loving — the last one I’ll be wearing all season long and pairing with different cowboy boots.
Thank me later.
