A TikTok went viral over the weekend of a mother breaking the Micah Parsons news to her 7-year-old son, resulting in the boy bursting into tears. So far, the video has reached 4.6 million views and continues to climb.
This sad story has a happy ending, though. Parsons’ team reached out to the boy and his family via FaceTime. “In life, things happen that you can’t control,” Parsons mentored the boy. He even gifted the mini-fan a fresh No. 1 jersey to soften the blow. Chin up, little man.

A little piece of Cowtown in... Canada? A friend texted me a picture of this bar during his recent trip to Vancouver, BC. The Liberty Distillery is a pub-style cocktail lounge and was one of the first small-batch distilleries in Vancouver.
The bar itself isn’t just any random bar. According to the bartender, it was built in 1895 and imported from Weatherford — of all places. This is where I slip on my detective hat. In digging into the backstory with the Director of Operations of the distillery, I hope to find out more information about its origins. For now, I’m crowd-sourcing for clues. So drop me a line if you know anything about this Texas artifact.
How did this bar get from Texas to Canada?
