Ooohh…Dough! is the name of one ice cream flavor at the Ohio ice cream chain Handel’s. It’s opening up a location in Burleson tomorrow on Wilshire Boulevard. The first 100 guests will win free ice cream for a year. (CultureMap Fort Worth)

Closing

The owners of Cat City Grill have announced they’ll be closing its doors after 15 years — noting that the price of beef has been a particular struggle. The last day to get its signature meatloaf is Sunday, Sept. 28. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

List

Hispanic Heritage Month kicks off on Monday, Sept. 15. Thanks to the Dallas Morning News, we have no shortage of ways to honor Hispanic tradition, from cultural events to family-friendly activities. The list includes activities all over DFW. (The Dallas Morning News)

Kids

Teens in grades 6-12 can enter a 3D Bridge Contest this month. Kids will design their own bridge using computer-aided design software, 3D print it at their nearest Fort Worth library branch, and test its strength. The grand prize is a Bambu Lab A1 mini 3D printer. Submissions are due Tuesday, Sept. 30.

UNT Health will host its 2025 Legends benefit concert at Bass Hall on Wednesday, Oct. 22, and the headliner will be none other than Styx. Starting in 2013, UNT Legends has collected over $3 million to support the health system’s initiatives. The concert raises funds to benefit student scholarships.
